What a powerful statement…. When I first read this, I had to accept the fact that there was a time that my ancestors were enslaved and freed only to allow myself to be enslaved mentally by the thought of their enslavement. Take a few moments and think on this statement…. enslaved, freed, and enslaved again. When did this happen was my initial thought? for I couldn’t visualized at that time my ancestral beginnings. Yes! I read stories, saw movies, heard saga’s yet, I failed to see me in that situation, for I only believed in my life from my time of birth and my learned moments doing that time. That learning remained with me into my present moments, never realizing or accepting the impact of that past on my growth and life.

LESSON LEARNED…. You can’t separate yourself from your past and must learn to accept it for what it was and grow from it…. for you are the creator of who and what you have become or feel that you are. You and You Alone create YOUR GOOD, YOUR BAD and YOUR UGLY in this life, for the only thing you can change is your thoughts of that past. Yes, the history and treatment of my people had a crucial impact on my growth, but that was not of my doing and I can deny any crippling affects it may have had in my growth and so can you.

“NEW WINE IN NEW WINE SKINS…” “Change Your Thinking – Change Your Life, – for as a PERSON THINKETH so he or she will become.” This mode of thinking has been shared with us for generations, yet each year we expect to acquire new beginnings mixed with the year before thoughts. It’s time to let go of things that were not completed or acquired from the past and place new desired thoughts in their place. I surrendered any thoughts on my ancestral beginning and failed to accept it for what it was cruel and inhumane treatment of a people by a people who were lost to the reality of a SUPREME LOVE for all MANKIND.

August ‘2019 is a month that should be CELEBRATED, for it was in that month 400 years ago (August ‘1619) that my ancestors were transported to this Country. Many of us may have problems accepting this fact, but it is the reality and we can’t separate ourselves from the reality of it…. We can try as I once did, but it only creates a burning desire for FREEDOM a freedom that no human can provide. Yes, the Emancipation Proclamation and the Declaration of Independence proclaimed freedom but were we as a people truly free…. A statement you need to think about….

I begin to rethink my ancestral beginnings and realized that I separated myself from the true meaning of that time in history and begin my struggle of acceptance in this Country. “Separate but Equal” – was the quote of the time…

A change is thinking was in order and I finally accepted the fact that only in my return to my true SOURCE, the true ESSENCE of WHO I really am was accepted that I returned to my CREATED SOURCE becoming ONE with it, never again to dwell in the dualistic thinking of a people who desire Worldliness and Spiritualism. We can’t have two masters. It’s time to choose if JOY and PEACE is what you seek in this LIFE.

Since 2010, the city of Hampton and several organizations, including Project 1619, have observed an annual African Landing Commemoration Day.

AUGUST 20^th ‘2019 should be a day of NATIONAL CELEBRATING, Let’s give LIFE to this thought and become one with it, and by doing we become one with OUR TRUE ESSENCE…never again to view this life with double vision, but seeing it as:

“ONE PEOPLE UNDER GOD WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.”

LET THIS THOUGHT BECOME YOUR REALITY FOR ‘2019, FOR IN IT IS GROWTH
